Hebron named 2024 Nonprofit of the Year

In September, Hebron Housing Services was named 2024 Nonprofit of the Year by the Waukesha County Business Alliance. Hebron CEO Kathleen Christenson Fisher accepted the award at the Alliance’s 106th Annual Meeting.

As the oldest and largest nonprofit in Waukesha County providing emergency shelter services, Hebron was recognized for being at the forefront of promoting health, safety, and quality of life for individuals facing homelessness. “The organization’s programs and initiatives have provided safe and affordable housing options for vulnerable populations, ensuring access to essential services that contribute to overall well-being. Hebron’s commitment to maintaining high standards of safety within its housing facilities has had a positive impact on the quality of life of its guests.”

Hebron was recognized along with business and community leaders who received Emerging Leaders, Advocate of the Year and Don Richards Leadership awards. The keynote speaker was former Miss America and UW-Madison alum Grace Stanke who discusses her journey of becoming a nuclear engineer. The event was a wonderful way for our board members and staff to network and celebrate with hundreds of business leaders across Waukesha County and our region.
